Colombian swimmer wins gold at Swimming World Cup

Colombian swimmer Omar Pinzon won a gold medal on Sunday at the Tokyo Swimming World Cup.

Pinzon delivered a stunning performance, with a time of 1:51:15 for the men’s 200 meters backstroke. He secured his first place on the podium, before two Japanese swimmers: Kazuki Watanabe (1:51:51) and Yuki Shirai (1:51:98).

This victory confirms the peak in Pinzon’s career with his Tokyo feat following two other victories in Singapore and Beijing.

Pinzon’s performances spark dreams of victory for the upcoming Olympic Games in London.
