Colombian stocks take almost 10% leap

Colombia’s main stock index IGBC took an almost ten percent leap after
opening the market on Tuesday, following the positive results on
worldwide markets Monday.

The IGBC rose 9.75 percnet to 8,234.65 points immediately after opening, recovering significantly from last week’s fall.

The buying and selling of stocks of Ecopetrol and Bancolombia were suspended after their value increased more than 10 percent.

Colombia’s stock market was closed Monday because of a national holiday.
