A Colombian professional soldier apparently launched a grenade at a colleague, killing the 20-year-old in the central Colombian department of Huila.

Military officials have released few details although the attack seems to have been sparked by a heated argument between the pair, Caracol reported Monday.

20-year-old Yofre Peñuela Cifruentes died in hospital, while the undisclosed perpetrator is currently in hospital being treated for shrapnel injuries.

The military authorities are carrying out further investigations into the details surrounding the incident.
