Colombian skaters 2nd in World Championship

The Colombian roller speed skating team are in second place in the World Championship in South Korea after winning three gold medals, four silver, and one bronze.

The Colombian team has been led by gold medal winners Jersy Puello in the senior women’s competition and Pedro Causil in the senior men’s races.

The silver medals were shared by Yesenia Escobar in the junior women’s events and Andres Felipe Muñoz in the senior men’s races, while Estefania Hurtado won bronze in a junior women’s race.

The competition has been dominated by the hosts South Korea and Colombia. The third placed team in the medal tables, Belgium, has won a single gold medal.
