Thursday’s broadcast of the 2011 edition of “American Idol” was graced by the 20-year-old Julie Zorrilla, a Colombian living in Los Angeles.
Before performing “Summertime” to jury members Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson, Zorilla told the story of her life in Colombia, the country she and her parents left when she was 12 due to guerrilla violence.
The Colombian passed the auditions.
