Colombian cycling star Sergio Henao has signed a two-year deal with top British cycling team Sky Procycling.
The 23-year-old climber has emerged as a major talent in recent years and currently leads the overall standings in the Tour of Utah. The deal, which will be Henao’s first professional contract, will see the Antioquian move to Pomplona, Spain.
In a press release, Sky team Principal Dave Brailsford said: “We identified Sergio as a real talent some time ago and have been watching his development closely during the last two years.
“His performance in Utah this week confirms our belief that he is one of the World’s biggest climbing talents and has a very bright future ahead of him.”
