Colombia well prepared to confront economic crisis, says Merrill Lynch

Colombia is in the top ten of countries that are best prepared to
confront the current economic crisis, international bank Merrill Lynch
said in a report.

Colombian President Álvaro Uribe immediately praised the report and thanked his ‘Democratic Security’ policy for the relatively good economic situation Colombia is in.

“The Democratic Security allows Colombia to be qualified as one of the ten countries best protected against this economic crisis,” he said Wednesday.
