Colombia too good for Haiti in friendly

Colombia did as expected to beat Haiti 2-0 in an international friendly
on Wednesday. The goals were scored by Vladimir Marín and Macnelly
Torres.

The match, played at Pereira’s Hernán Ramírez Villegas stadium, had been underway for 14 minutes when Club Libertad winger Marín put the hosts in the lead.

Miguel Calero had a chance to score from the penalty spot in the 40th minute but missed. Fortunately, Colo Colo midfielder Macnelly Torres did add a second on the hour mark.

Colombia currently occupy the seventh spot in the South American World Cup Qualifying zone, and resume their campaign against Bolivia on March 28th.
