Colombia seeks more oil investment

The Minister, currently in Spain for the World Petroleum Congress, told Colombian newspaper El Espectador his country seeks to “promote participation in what we are going do”.Martínez says Colombia’s oil production lately has been declining and wants to open the national oil exploitation market for foreign investors. “We have some 150 fields throughout Colombia we will allocate this year,” the minister said.More than 100 oil companies already are active in Colombia, but the minister is keen on “continuing to attract” new businesses to strengthen competitiveness.
