Colombia beats Paraguay 2-0 in final round of World Cup qualifying

Colombia defeated Paraguay 2-0 on second-half goals by Adrian Ramos and Hugo Rodallega on Wednesday, wrapping up World Cup qualifying for both South American teams.

Paraguay had already clinched a spot in the World Cup and Colombia was eliminated in a loss on Saturday against Chile.

Paraguay finished with 33 points in the South American standings – the same as Chile. Brazil topped the standings with 34 points.

Argentina claimed the No. 4 spot – the final automatic berth – with 28 points after beating Uruguay 1-0.
