Colombia beat Bolivia 2-1 Tuesday in their first World Cup qualifying match thanks to a last-minute goal by Atletico Madrid forward Radamel Falcao.
The forward was kept on the coach by coach Leonel Alvarez until 15 minutes before the final whistle; all the time Falcao needed to assure a Colombian victory on Bolivian territory.
The game did not take off until three minutes in the second half when Colombia’s Dorlan Pabon scored the 0-1.
Bolivia’s Walter Flores equaled six minutes before the official end-time of the game, but saw his team lose three minutes into injury time because of Falcao’s goal.
Colombia’s second match will be on November 11 on home ground against neighbors Venezuela
