Colombia announces lineup for 2014 World Cup

Colombia’s head soccer coach for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil has revealed the names of the players who will compete in next month’s global competition.

Coach Jose Nestor Pekerman waited until the last minute on Tuesday to reveal the names of 30 soccer players who will be representing Colombia in Brazil.

Among the player is Radamel Falcao, whose participation is still uncertain as the striker is recovering from an injury.

Colombia is to compete at the head of Group C of the World Cup alongside Greece, Cote d’Ivoire, and Japan.

According to the official FIFA website, the Colombian team will have their debut match against the Greeks on June 14 while subsequent matches against Cote d’Ivoire and Japan will be played on the 19th and the 24th respectively.
