Colombia 71st most competitive in tourism

Colombia holds the 71st position in the world’s touristic competitiveness index, presented at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The Colombian tourism industry is the country’s third largest after oil and coal.

The national government is trying to tempt international investors to take part in the touristic development of the country and has offered all kinds of tax breaks to make investment more attractive.

The world’s ten most competitive countries consists of eight European country, the U.S. and Australia. Most competitive Latin American country is Costa Rica.
