Botero wins Tour of Colombia prologue

Botero, world time trial champion in 2002 and current panamerican ruler of the specialty, covered the route in 9 minutes and 53 seconds, 7 seconds before his fellow Colombian and team member Victor Hugo Pena.The top attractions os the Tour, Spanish Oscar Sevilla, and the U.S. and Olympic champion Tyler Hamilton, also of Rock Racing, finished third and fourth at 14 seconds.The first real stage of the Tour of Colombia will be held on Sunday.
