Bogota’s jailed ex-mayor again denied bail

While awaiting trial for corruption allegations, the former mayor of Bogota, Samuel Moreno was denied bail Thursday.

A criminal court judge reportedly claimed that the complexity of the process meant a public hearing must be pushed back even further, which is a sufficient enough reason to continue

The disgraced former mayor’s most recent plea for bail was in July of 2012. He is currently being held in Bogota’s La Picota prison.
