BBC visits Colombia’s Providencia island where ‘every day is like a lazy Sunday’

British broadcaster BBC visited Colombia’s Providencia island, discovering that “every day is like a lazy Sunday” on the remote island.

The report filmed on Providencia is part of a series on islands broadcast by Britain’s public television network.

The 4:20 piece highlights that the Colombian island is one of the few in the Caribbean “that isn’t overrun by tourism.”

“And the people want to keep it that way,” according to the report.

Providencia is a small island that makes part of the San Andres archipelago located close to Nicaragua.
