Authorities confirm assassination of Cali DMG boss

Authorities confirmed Thursday the assassination of Cali DMG Manager Burbano Bolaños on June 18.

Ricaurte that Bolaños was killed by an underage hit man.

She had worked at the Cali department of the pyramid scheme DMG.

Ecuadorean authorities had reportedly wanted to question Bolaños in relation to her activities in relation to DMG according to Caracol Radio.

The confirmation of the assassination comes as the Prosecutor General revealed that DMG received 4.8 billion pesos (US$2 million) in one year through its pyramid scheme.

Palacio told Canal RCN that this amount would be enough to fund the entire Colombian health sector for five years.

Approximately 200,000 Colombians lost their money when the Government shut down DMG. They have demanded US$7 million from the Colombian government in reparation.

The former Director of DMG, David Murcia is currently on trial for allegedly leading the ponzi scheme and
laundering money for drug lords. The U.S has requested his extradition.

Murcia has said that he would provide a list of prominent politicians and officials
