Arrest warrant issued for porn director after he skips extradition hearing

Spanish authorities have called for the arrest of porn director Pablo Lapiedra after he skipped the court hearing which would have confirmed his extradition to Colombia where he faces child porn charges.

In September, a Spanish court approved the extradition of Lapiedra to face charges of using underage teenage girls in porn films shot in Medellin. That decision was to have been ratified by the government in Tuesday’s hearing.

The Spanish director was arrested in March but released in September after posting bail of $135,000.

He has denied knowledge of the girls’ age, claiming they showed him fake ID to prove they were over 18.

Lapiedra’s then-wife, Colombian porn star Lupe Fuentes, is alleged to have recruited the girls and is also wanted on charges of child pornography as well for immigration violations in the U.S.
