Army strikes simultaneous blows to FARC and “Los Rastrojos”

Colombia’s army on Monday announced the seizure of illegal arms belonging to criminal gang “Los Rastrojos” and drug-producing equipment belonging to guerrilla group the FARC, in two separate operations.

According to reports, a raid on an abandoned FARC camp in the town of Nechi, located in the north of Colombia’s Antioquia department, led to the discovery of two kilos of coca base, five gallons of gasoline and other drug-producing equipment.

The second of the three operations took place in the northern department of Cesar, where members of the army seized 119 gun cartridges and communications equipment belonging to notorious criminal gang Los Rastrojos.
