Animation conference comes to Bogota

Bogota will host the ACM Special Interest Group on Graphics and Interactive Techniques (SIGGRAPH) conference October 14-16.

The conference will feature digital animators that have worked on movies like Avatar, Transformers, Iron Man 2, and The Matrix. The designers will give talks, open to the public, about the technical aspects of their careers as well as their personal experiences in the industry. In addition to movie animation, they will discuss video games, commercials, special effects and interactive techniques. Entrance to the conference costs COP47,000 ($26).

Two Colombian animators, Felipe Morell and Ed Quintero, with careers in Hollywood will make an appearance at the festival.

The latest work in animation will also be showcased with the screening of over 80 animation projects which have been completed by some of the best animators in the world.
