Ángel still available for Colombian national team

Colombian striker Juan Pablo Ángel is desperate for a new chance with
the national team, he revealed. The player hasn’t played for Colombia
since joining the MLS.

Ángel has been in good shape lately, representing Red Bull New York. So far this hasn’t attracted the attention of both previous Colombia boss José Luis Pinto and his successor Eduardo Lara.

Goal.com reports that Ángel would be ready to play for the national team again: “Every player who has been in the process of the national team knows what it means to play for their country, to represent it.

“For me it is always the same thing, I have always been very proud of representing my country, and it won’t be any different right now.”

The 33-year-old from Medellín made 33 appearances for Colombia, starting in 1996, and scored nine goals.
