An increasing number of Colombians are optimistic about their country and believe that life in Colombia is improving, according to a recent poll by research center Gallup.
According to the poll, 46% of Colombians are optimistic about their country, an increase of 8% on the previous poll.
Of those interviewed for the poll, the issues which most concerned Colombians were insecurity, the fight against poverty and the cost of life.
Almost two thirds of Colombians, 64%, believe that election results in the country are unreliable and 66% believe that corruption in the country is on the rise.
A large majority of Colombians, 84%, believe that the armed forces are in a position to defeat the guerrilla forces in the country.
