America de Cali manager Umaña quits

Colombian soccer team America de Cali will have to look for a new
manager following the resignation of Diego Umaña, shortly after the
side’s defeat to arch rivals Deportivo Cali.

“I’m off, I can’t take any more, I don’t want to get ill,” Umana reportedly said.

America lost the match 3-2 as result of a 89th-minute penalty scored by Juan Carlos Marino. Deportivo are now near the top eight while America face a tough remainder of the season, as they are currently located in 14th place.

Umaña took America to Copa Mustang II victory last year but the 2009 Copa Mustang I wasn’t anywhere near as successful for the Cali outfit.
