Alejandro Falla reaches 3rd round of French Open


Colombian tennis player Alejandro Falla has advanced to the third round of the French Open.

The Cali-native defeated the 20th seed German Florian Mayer 4-6 7-6 6-1 6-2, to progress to third round for the first time at the prestigious Roland Garros tournament in Paris.

His reward will be a match against Polish player Lukasz Kubot, who overcame Argentinian Carlos Berlocq in straight sets.
