Heavily armed men murdered four adults and one child in a farmhouse in the south-Colombian Putumayo department.
The massacre took place in the municipality of San Miguel, some 8 miles north of the border with Ecuador.
Putumayo police commander Juan Alberto told RCN Radio that “heavily armed men arrived at the mentioned farmhouse and murdered four adults and one minor.”
“Although several illegal armed groups are active in the region, we do not know who was responsible for this massacre,” the police official said.
Among others, the most famous group active in the region is the FARC’s 48th Front.
