4 police killed in Pacific Coast ambush

Four policemen have been killed and two injured in an ambush in a rural area on the Pacific Coast, Caracol Radio reported on Monday.

Official sources said the National Police officers were doing work related to coca eradication in Tumaco in the department of Nariño, when they suffered what appeared to be a guerrilla attack.

Ten police officers working against guerrilla forces in Nariño have died in the last month.
