At least 1 dead, 2 injured in ‘FARC’ car bomb in northeast Colombia

At least one person has been killed and two injured after a car bomb exploded Friday in an rural area of north Colombia.

The bomb was detonated at approximately 10:00AM in the town of Tibu, close to the Venezuelan border in Norte de Santander department.

According to different Colombian media between one and two people were killed and two and three injured.

Authorities have attributed the attack to the FARC’s 33rd Front.

Many houses were also damaged in the attack, which took place two blocks away from a police station.

The two injured, including a minor, were taken to hospital in Cucuta, the departmental capital.
