América championship celebration leaves 25 injured

The celebration of América de Cali’s victory in the second leg of this year’s Copa Mustang left 25 fans injured in Cali.

Thirteen of the reported injuries were caused by traffic accidents blamed on drunk driving. Other fans were injured falling off buses that were cruising the Cali streets to celebrate the victory of their ‘Red Devils’

A few fans were injured in fights and one women suffered burns caused by fireworks.

There were no reported deaths during the celebration of América’s thirteenth victory in the Colombian soccer competition.
