Ambulance kills 2, injures 1 in northern Colombia

An ambulance rushing to the scene of an emergency has killed two people and left one injured in the northern Colombian department of Cordoba.

The accident occurred in the department capital of Monteria, where the ambulance collided with a motorcyclist and a mother with her young son.

The child, identified as Tomás Alfonso Tuiran Morelo, and motorcyclist John Jairo Vásquez Blanco both died in hospital following the crash.

The mother remains being treated in hospital for her injuries.
