2nd alleged FARC attack in Huila

An second terrorist attack attributed to the FARC on Sunday left two soldiers dead and three civilians wounded in the town of Algeciras, Huila.

The event took place during a football match when guerrillas located among the civilian population shot at two soldiers who were patrolling the zone, according to El Tiempo.

The guerrillas stripped the dead soldiers of their weapons and injured three civilians, among them a minor, during the course of the attack.

This is the second alleged FARC attack in one day in the Huila department.

On Sunday morning, the police thwarted a further terrorist attack at the bus terminal in the city of Neiva. An explosive device was successfully deactivated after a complete evacuation of the terminal.
