‘A corazon abierto’ 3rd season canceled due to declining popularity

The third season of Colombian hospital drama series “A corazon abierto,” already widely publicized, has apparently been canceled due to declining popularity, reported gossip site Sweet.

Actors were reportedly gathered together last week to receive the bad — some might say heart-stopping — news that the greatly anticipated third season will not be produced after all, as the second season didn’t see the success anticipated.

The show’s producers didn’t want to risk continued declines in the third season, as new characters introduced on the show apparently haven’t had the impact hoped for among the public audience.

Luckily for the show’s protagonist, Rafael Novoa, he had already decided to ditch the third season in order to travel to Miami with his fiancee. The other actors, however, will have to start looking for new work.
