Massacre in Cordoba village kills 7

An unknown armed group on Sunday carried out a raid on a village in the northern Colombian department of Corboda, murdering seven people including three minors, reports Colombian media.

The armed squad reportedly entered the village of San Juan, in the municipality of Puerto Libertador, during the night of Sunday March 21, massacring seven people – the youngest of whom was fourteen years old.

According to reports, the raid was carried out by at least four heavily armed men, who entered one of the village’s bars at 10 PM. A witness to the event said that the men shot indiscriminately at the people in the bar.

Authorities on Monday began an investigation into the crime.
