600.000 pyramid victims want money back

600.000 victims requested to have their money returned, the manager of the team that investigates pyramid schemes in Colombia, María Mercedes Perry, confirmed.

In an interview with Caracol Radio, Perry revealed that in the case of DMG, almost 225 thousand Colombians requested a devolution. It is expected that a total amount of 40 billion pesos (15.56 million USD) is to be divided between these victims.

The second stage of this devolution should include several pieces of real estate that were confiscated by the National Narcotics Board.

Perry went on to say that the 350 thousand citizens that fell victim to DRFE, another major pyramid scheme, have to wait until May to access part of the resources they lost.

The investigation manager added that she plans to get in touch with the Panamianian authorities in order to gain access to real estate and money DMG owner David Murcia Gúzman has in that country.
