6 confirmed dead in plane crash

Authorities on Saturday found an air force plane that went missing Tuesday in central Colombia and confirmed that none of the six soldiers on board survived the crash.

Air force commander General Julio Alberto Gonzalez told press that weather conditions and the rough terrain of the mountainous area made it difficult to recover the bodies of the victims earlier.

In a response, President Juan Manuel Santos expressed his condolences to the families of the crash victims.
