6 dead, 29 injured in southwest Colombia bus crash

A bus crash left six dead and at least 29 injured on Monday in the Nariño department, southwest Colombia.

The bus was apparently driving too fast and left the road, falling down a fifty foot ditch, leading to the death of six passengers – including one minor.

The accident took place on the road joining Ipiales to Pasto.

According to the police, the bus carried 42 people, adults and minors.

The wounded were transported to a nearby hospital.
