4 soldiers killed in ‘FARC’ attack near Venezuela border

Four Colombian soldiers are killed, and two more injured, in an attack by suspected FARC guerrillas who then escaped over the border into Venezuela, according to the army, newspaper El Espectador reported Thursday.

A boat coming from the direction of Amparo drew up to the ship of an army patrol stationed on the  River and fired at close range.

The wounded men were transferred to a hospital.

Officials said that those responsible for the attack escaped across the Venezuelan border.
