3 dead, 4 missing in northeast Colombia mine blast

At least three miners were killed, three were injured and four went missing in a mine blast in northeast Colombia Wednesday.

According to the country’s mining authority, the incident took place in the municipality of Socha, Boyaca.

An accumulation of methane gas allegedly caused the explosion 10AM in the morning.

Authorities sent 16 rescue workers to the mine to look for the missing miners.
