22 killed during Colombian New Year’s Eve celebration

At least 22 people were killed in Colombia during New Year’s Eve celebrations, the country’s police said Sunday.

The number of murders on New Year’s Eve dropped 33.3% compared to last year, police official Rodolfo Palomino told reporters.

The police official said the lower number of murder were due to upped security measures throughout the country.
