2014 re-election Uribe may be included in political reform

A possibility for Colombian President Álvaro Uribe to be re-elected in
2014 may be included in the government’s political reform proposals
currently pending Congress approval, said Interior and Justice Minister
Fabio Valencia Cossio.

Valencia said he “didn’t not like the idea” mentioned earlier by Conservative Party member Efrain Cepeda after meeting with representatives of political parties.

the Liberal Pary, one of the bigger parties of Colombia’s opposition said they would study the idea.

Earlier Wednesday, the Partido de la U said they would continue pressing the possibility of a 2010 re-election of teh popular president.
