2 policemen, 1 civilian wounded in southwest Colombia attack

An attack on a police patrol in the southwestern Colombian department of Valle del Cauca leaves two policemen and one civilian injured, RCN Radio reported Tuesday.

The attack occurred at around 10:30PM in Todo Santo, a village in the municipality of San Pedro 40 miles north of Cali. Mayor Dubernei Ladino stated that the authorities are still unsure of which armed group committed the crime.

Among the injured policemen was the town’s police commander who had assumed the title only eight days ago.

All three wounded were taken to a nearby medical center and are expected to make full recoveries.
