More than 18% of Colombia’s high school students has been subject to sexual harassment, the government’s statistics agency said.
According to a bi-annual study, 18.4% of the interviewed children said to have been made to feel “uncomfortable” because they were touched sexually without consent. 27.9% of interviewed children said to have made to feel uncomfortable by sexual insinuations or proposals to have sex.
Of the polled students, 32.7% admitted to having had sex. Of these children, 76.8% said to have had sex with someone approximately their own age.
The results came from a bi-annual poll among children about sexuality among minors.
