Bomb attack on Nariño DAS office injures 12

Twelve people were injured when a bomb went off in front of the local office of intelligence agency DAS in the southern Colombian city of Pasto, the agency reported Wednesday.

According to a witness, someone left the bomb in a package in front of the agency’s building, and it exploded moments after the individual left the scene.

According to a press release signed by DAS director Felipe Muñoz, three suspects were arrested by DAS officials just after the bomb went off at 4PM.

Among the injured are a boy and a pregnant woman, Canal Caracol reported.

Authorities have not said if any of the country’s known illegal armed groups are responsible for the attack.
