11 dead, 15 injured in southern Colombia bus crash

At least 11 people were killed and 15 injured in a bus crash in Colombia’s southern Putamayo Department, reported local media Monday.

According to Highway Patrol Director Francisco Patiño, the bus had been traveling between the cities of Pasto and Mocoa with 28 passengers when it rolled off a cliff a few miles from its destination.

Further reports indicated that up to 17 people were injured, with victims taken to the Jose Maria Hernandez Hospital in Mocoa.

The incident is the second accident within three days on a road known as “the trampoline of death,” according to Radio Caracol.
