‘FARC’ attacks military base in southern Colombia

Colombia’s largest guerrilla group FARC has attacked a military base in southwestern Colombia Thursday, reported local media.

According to official reports, the FARC’s 62nd Front launched a cylinder bomb at 5:30AM onto the base in San Juan de Lozada, a rural area of ??the Caqueta department.

The attack has left one soldier dead and another injured from the military’s 9th Brigade.

Following the guerrilla offensive, the Colombian air force was sent out trying to track down the assailants.
