Colombia, Venezuela foreign ministers meet in Bogota

Venezuela’s Foreign Minister has arrived in Bogota to meet with his Colombian counterpart in order to discuss bilateral relations and energize trade between the neighboring nations.

Nicolas Maduro, the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, accompanied by a delegation of ministers and high-ranking officials, is to meet with Colombian Foreign Minister Maria Angela Holguin at the headquarters of the of the Ministry of Foreign Relations to refine the agenda set out by the Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos.

The Foreign Minister of the neighboring nation will also meet with President Santos at the presidential palace Casa de Nariño in order to set a date for the presidential summit to take place in Caracas, the Venezuelan capital.

In April the two presidents met and struck deals on drugs, trade and border security.
