Colombian airline company Aires launched a promotion offering national flights for 60 per cent of the original price.
Now you can fly from Bogota to Cali (one way) for 162,480 pesos or from Bogota to Medellin for 168,480 pesos, around US$75.
Aires will offer these reduced prices until the next season since they bring good results. "At Easter we also offered cheap flights and the number of passengers increased by almost 60 per cent", Francisco Mendes, president of Aires, told El Tiempo.
Aires flies to 23 national and four international destinations.

... I have always wondered why Colombia does not have REALLY cheap flights like Europe or the US...why there is no colombian equivalent to Ryan Air and Easy Jet? if it is possible to fly from London to Barcelona for sutf like 15, 20 or 30 euros. why is flying inside colombia so expensive? keep in mind in Europe, people have higher incomes too.. |

... Manuel, Colombia doesn't know the meaning of the word competition or of the phrase "customer service." Ojala un dia. Why do Colombian banks charge a service charge to check your balance online or to make a deposit to your account? |
