Colombia is set to open the first hyper-realistic sex doll brothel in Latin America, reported economics website Dinero.com on Monday.

The brothel, which will offer punters a range of sex dolls to fulfill their sexual fantasies will open in the nation’s capital Bogota.

“It is an unprecedented service in Latin America that has various security guarantees and that makes hyper-realistic sex dolls available to Colombians with which they can fulfill their fantasies in the reserve and comfort of their own personal space, said the executive director of “El Distrito,” Particia Gutierrez.

The name of this Colombian company pays tribute to the Red District (Rosse Buurt),  a neighborhood in Amsterdam (Netherlands) where nightlife and underground are combined with prostitution, drugs and sex.

The company originally imported one doll of Asian origin and was surprised with the immediate demand, subsequently seeking an investor to start the business that will first open its doors in Bogota.

Gutierrez explains that the dolls are made from clinical silicone, a material that she claims does not keep bacteria. The  structure of the lifelike dolls is metallic, allowing for the joints to move.

“If you want to sit or lie down, you can. You can do all the positions you want because all of the joints move,” explained Gutierrez.

“The realism is exaggerated, you can detail the soles of the feet, of the hands, they have all the expressions as if it were a real woman,”

“‘El Districto’ rents its dolls for 45 minutes from $130.000 pesos ($43) to $160.000 pesos ($53).

“Everything depends on the size of the doll because in this business, size does matter,” said Gutierrez.

The service intends to cater for an age group of between 25 and 50 years and will provide dolls for both males and females wishing to pursue specific sexual fantasies.

British media last month reported on the popularity of a supposed sex doll brothel in the Spanish city of Barcelona, which was said to have been raided by police following complaints by local residents.

According to the Sun newspaper, the owner of the controversial business had turned away customers who were seeking to act out rape fantasies and others who wanted the dolls to look like children.

Patricia Gutierrez affirms that one of the purposes that motivates her to enter this business is to contribute to counteract prostitution in large Colombian cities such as Bogota.
