Conservative opposition leader of the Spanish parliament, Mariano Rajoy, is traveling today to Bogota to meet with President Alvaro Uribe to discuss the alleged relationship between Venezuela and terrorist groups the FARC, and the ETA, reported CM&.

Aside from discussion on the international controversy that erupted following a Spanish judge's allegation of illicit cooperation between the Venezuelan government and terrorist groups the FARC and ETA, Rajoy and Uribe will also exchange views on Spanish-Colombian relations, Colombian-EU relations, and economic cooperation.

Following the judge's allegations, Rajoy and his opposition party pressed the Spanish president to clarify what he will do with Venezuela, claiming that Venezuela had insulted Spain and gotten away with it.

In Colombia, Rajoy will also be visiting his party's new center in Bogota, and a non-profit organization in Cartagena that supports at-risk women, which the Spanish government funded.
