Two million vaccines against the swine flu virus will arrive in Colombia from February 25, stated the country's health minister on Wednesday.

Health Minister Diego Palacio said that the vaccinations would be distributed to the groups most at risk from the virus, with 580,000 doses for women in their second or third trimester of pregnancy. An estimated million will go to the parts of the population aged under six months or over 49 years, and some 200,000 will be kept for health workers, reported Colombian media.

A report from the Ministry of Social Protection confirmed that by December 29, the death toll in Colombia for the AH1N1 virus stood at 196.

I would be interested in knowing how the vaccine is distributed. I believe that everyone in the US who wants this vaccine has already received it. My clinic in Rionegro doesn't expect this vaccine until April.
