Venezuelan ambassador assures there is a 'pre-war situation'

Colombia news - Gustavo Marquez

According to Venezuela's ambassador to Bogota, his country must prepare for war as there is a 'pre-war situation' now Colombia allows the United States to use its military bases.

Ambassador Gustavo Marquez told Cali newspaper El Pais that he can not rule out that the U.S. plan to attack Venezuela. The ambassador said Venezuela had no plans to attack anyone.

"What (Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez) said exactly was that we have to 'prepare ourselves for war', because there is a pre-war situation: they are constructing a war theater that threatens Venezuela and all countries in the region," Marquez told the newspaper.

The ambassador does not think Colombia and Venezuela will be able to improve relations anytime soon as the military pact with the U.S. and the way it came about, caused a lot of distrust in Caracas.

"As a consequence of the lack of transparency there is no trust and when there is no trust you can not have a stabile relationship," Marquez said.

Following the news Colombia planned to sign an agreement with the United States to allow the Americans the use of military bases, Chavez froze diplomatic relations with his country's western neighbor, threatened to cut trade and has ordered thousands of troops to the border.

The 70% majority over 5 million poor people in Honduras want democracy and there is a bitter taste in Latin A merica, Central America, and South America that the Clintons have railroaded democracy and replaced it with a military dictatorship. The fascist government of Micheletti has betrayed the Honduran people and shoved democracy into a dungeon at the point of a bayonet. It is just a matter of time before the downtrodden compesinos revolt and start killing the elite. Then justice will be done and the poor compesinos with sharp machetes should start with Congress. Hurray for freedom and Zelaya! America under Hillary Clinton intends to follow the Honduras takeover with the occupation of Colombia. The top priority is to use predator drones to kill leftist politicians throughout South and Central and Latin America. This is a declaration of war by the Clinton mafia. No one is safe. FARC should be armed and the Honduras resistance should be armed. Venezuela and Bolivia and Ecuador and Brazil and Argentina and Paraguay and Uraguay and Nicaragua should join a defense alliance and install the S300 and S400 anti aircraft and missile system supported by Russian and Chinese spy satellite intelligence to prevent predator drone attacks. This alliance would then stop the 4th fleet planned aggression leading to an invasion. .

The U.S wants Venezuelan oil... and they want to stop the spread of pro-socialist countries in latin america because it goes against corporate will. If there is a war, let's face it, all of latin america will be dragged in it.

U.S capitalism NEEDS a war to put the economy "back on tracks" and a war against Iran is not possible right now, so, it is tought that Venezuela will be an easy picking for the millitary-industrial warmongers.

One can only assume that if there is a war with Venezuela, it will not be for "democracy", but for money and oil. Both american liberals and conservatives must not be blind and see the facts as they are.

Seriously? Why would the US invade Venezuela now? If we had any hostile intentions towards their oil, we would have invaded them after that Nutjob Chavez stole American oil companies' property. How's that nationalism working for you? haha.. Not sure if you noticed, but we already have most of the Middle East occupied. We just do not need Venezuela's oil, we got theirs. Same with Cuba. Why would we invade? Give it another 20 years and socialism will finally die there & we will build resorts. Socialism is for the lazy & the dumb.
